About the Role

The Fiber Splicer is responsible for producing end-to-end fiber optic networks, ensuring the job is done right and efficiently. This includes testing and troubleshooting fiber continuity, operating all testing equipment, preparing splice enclosures, using fusion splicers and OTDRs, applying fiber design knowledge, and working on outdoor utility construction sites. • Test and troubleshoot continuity of fiber optic networks. • Operate testing equipment such as OTDR (1310, 1550), DWDM, CWDM, 945 OLTS, Max Tester, and power meter. • Prepare fiber splice enclosures (e.g., Tyco, CommScope, Corning). • Use fusion splicer to complete fiber splices. • Apply fiber engineer knowledge to read designs, understand light levels, and calculate dB loss. • Perform work on outdoor utility construction sites. • Follow strict safety protocols daily. • Deliver high-quality work with attention to detail. • Solve complex technical problems using a hands-on approach. • Collaborate closely with team members on site. • Operate safely from ladders and bucket trucks. • Participate in Employee Stock Purchase Plan (ESPP).

What You Bring

They bring 3-5 years of fiber splicing and troubleshooting experience, are comfortable working on ladders or bucket trucks, and can adapt to varied shifts and overtime.
