About the Role
In this pivotal role you will drive new business and expand strategic relationships across data‑centre customers, including hyperscalers, colocation providers, enterprise end users, contractors and consultants, delivering both short‑term wins and long‑term multi‑year growth for Carrier’s Carrier Data Centre business in the UK & Ireland. Key responsibilities include identifying, qualifying and pursuing net‑new opportunities across hyperscaler, colocation, edge, enterprise and replacement cycles, and acting as the primary point of contact for strategic and hyperscaler accounts while building strong, multi‑level relationships. You will coordinate closely with engineering, operations and project‑management teams to ensure successful delivery from order to commissioning, maintain an insight‑led pipeline and backlog aligned with a strategic account plan, and run a disciplined prospecting cadence of outreach, events and referrals to open new buying centres. • Identify and pursue net‑new opportunities across hyperscaler, colocation, edge, enterprise and replacement cycles. • Serve as primary point of contact for strategic and hyperscaler accounts, building multi‑level relationships. • Coordinate with engineering, operations and project‑management teams to deliver orders through commissioning. • Maintain an insight‑led pipeline and backlog aligned with a strategic account plan. • Execute a disciplined prospecting cadence (outreach, events, referrals) to open new buying centres. • Represent Carrier at industry events, conferences and networking forums to build brand and pipeline.

What You Bring
Success in this role requires strong experience in key account management, sales or business development within data‑centre infrastructure, preferably with HVAC/chilled‑water and air‑side cooling knowledge. A proven track record of managing large, complex accounts and meeting ambitious targets, ability to translate technical concepts into business value propositions and ROI, and excellent negotiation, communication, stakeholder management, time‑management and organisational skills are essential. A hunter mentality, proactive pipeline generation, resilience, willingness to travel and use regional offices, and proficiency with MS Office are also required. • Strong experience in key account management or sales within data‑centre infrastructure, especially HVAC/chilled‑water and air‑side cooling. • Proven track record managing large, complex accounts and achieving ambitious targets. • Ability to translate technical concepts into business value propositions and ROI; technical knowledge of hydronic chilled‑water and air‑side products valued. • Excellent negotiation, communication, stakeholder management, time‑management and organisational skills. • Hunter mentality with proactive pipeline generation, resilience and disciplined execution. • Willingness to travel and utilize regional offices as required.
