About the Role
The operator will handle haul trucks and tractor‑trailer/lowboy based on project requirements, follow prescribed safety regulations, load and unload equipment, and perform general cleanup and debris removal. They will maintain clear housekeeping, conduct routine maintenance such as lubricating, fueling, and cleaning, and monitor equipment for malfunctions. Adherence to work plans, pre‑task cards, and building effective relationships with diverse team members are also expected, along with any other assigned duties. • Operate haul trucks and tractor‑trailer/lowboy according to project needs. • Follow all safety regulations, work plans, and pre‑task cards. • Load, unload, clean equipment and maintain orderly housekeeping. • Perform routine maintenance such as lubricating, fueling, and cleaning. • Monitor equipment for malfunctions and report issues. • Build effective relationships with diverse team members. • Use hand and power tools, forklifts, skid loaders, and power buggies. • Read and interpret safety rules, manuals, load charts, and perform basic math. • Perform repetitive motions and lift/push/pull up to 50 lb (assist over 50 lb).

What You Bring
Mortenson is seeking a Truck Operator (CDL Class A) who will operate trucks as directed while adhering to all Mortenson safety policies and procedures. Preferred qualifications include related construction experience and a valid Class A CDL with required endorsements. The role requires the ability to use power and hand tools, forklifts, skid loaders, and power buggies, strong teamwork, a positive attitude, professional customer service, attention to detail, and the skill to operate vehicle controls. Candidates must read safety rules, maintenance instructions, and load charts, possess basic math skills, work independently, and demonstrate active listening and effective communication. Physical requirements involve repetitive movements and lifting up to 50 lb, with assistance for heavier loads. • Hold a valid Class A CDL with required endorsements. • Demonstrate teamwork, positive attitude, and professional customer service. • Work independently and communicate actively, accepting diverse feedback.
