About the Role
The Critical Facilities Engineer performs electrical and mechanical maintenance, site administration, and incident support for critical facilities. The role requires a solid understanding of critical infrastructure to quickly adapt to sophisticated assignments, exercise judgment in resolving issues, and make informed recommendations. • Perform preventative maintenance, monitor the Building Monitoring System (BMS), and assist senior staff with higher‑level repairs, following established procedures. • Coordinate with vendors, support work order approval processes, and ensure vendor activities comply with Equinix standard operating procedures. • Maintain site logs for permits, maintenance operation protocols, and scripts while following operating procedures for on‑site administration. • Complete semi‑routine work orders and circuit installations, troubleshoot office equipment, and support senior staff during on‑site incidents. • Collaborate with team members to resolve facility incidents, assist senior staff on infrastructure projects, and manage inventory needs for parts and equipment.

What You Bring
Candidates should have 4‑7 years of proven experience in a data‑center or mission‑critical environment, a bachelor’s degree in electrical or mechanical engineering, and be willing to work rotating shifts. Strong independent and teamwork abilities, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and relevant certifications are also valued.
