About the Role
• Lead technical specialists to deliver projects securely, on time, within budget and to high standards • Act as trusted advisor to internal and external clients and manage relationships • Advise on land acquisition processes such as DCOs, DNOs, hybrid Bills, Scottish Bills, TWA, T&CPA, CPOs, Motorway and Vesting Orders • Secure land rights for high‑profile strategic infrastructure projects across all sectors • Liaise with landowners, agents, legal representatives, planning authorities, stakeholders, contractors and clients • Collaborate with engineering, environmental and planning teams within WSP and project supply chains • Lead quality assurance of land interest identification, access negotiation, consents and planning applications • Promote WSP services and contribute to business development in energy, highway, rail, water, local government and aviation • Support knowledge sharing and quality improvement across regions and projects • Develop efficient, innovative working practices to deliver industry‑leading, best‑value services • Ensure team has necessary skills and resources to deliver projects and drive business growth • Manage, motivate, mentor and develop staff while contributing to business strategy • Support or lead bid and tender writing to secure new opportunities • Deliver technical training through the CPD‑accredited Land Academy • Travel across the UK and Ireland, with occasional trips to the Global Capability Centre in India • Negotiated commercial terms with landowners and knowledge of wayleave, easement and access legal processes

What You Bring
The role can be based in any of WSP’s offices across the UK and Ireland and offers hybrid working between the office and home. Travel within the UK and Ireland, and occasional trips to our Global Capability Centre in India, are part of the position. • Expertise in urban or rural environments, property, communities and stakeholder engagement • Experience delivering infrastructure schemes with multi‑disciplinary teams across sectors • Proven ability to reduce land risk for clients throughout project lifecycles • Track record developing Orders and acquiring consents with knowledge of relevant legislation • Strong communication, influencing and negotiation skills • Ability to work independently and under pressure while delivering high‑quality outputs • Excellent landowner and public engagement capabilities • Good business and IT proficiency with strong document management and quality assurance • Degree in Geography, Land/Estate Management, Agriculture or related field; chartered membership advantageous • Willingness to travel to various sites and locations as required
