About the Role

The role involves installing and maintaining fire sprinkler and plant pipework systems in large industrial buildings, performing preventive maintenance on pumps and valves, and troubleshooting on‑site issues. You will work with carbon steel, ductile iron, and PVC pipework, promote health and safety, and deliver high‑level service to the Construction Management Team while often working independently. • Install fire sprinkler pipework systems in large industrial buildings • Install plant items such as fire pumps, valves, and pumphouse piping • Perform preventive maintenance on fire pumps and sprinkler alarm valves • Install and repair carbon steel, ductile iron, and PVC pipework • Troubleshoot and resolve on‑site issues • Promote health and safety in accordance with the Zero Harm policy • Provide high‑level service to the Construction Management Team • Apply safety standards on large construction sites

What You Bring

We require previous construction site experience and a qualification in fitting, plumbing, fabrication or a related discipline. You should understand industry pipework components, mechanical systems, and safety standards on large sites. Desired qualifications include Safe Pass, Manual Handling, Working at Height, MEWP training, computer literacy for online inductions, and experience with mechanical threading and grooving of pipework. Strong communication, punctuality and organization are essential. • Possess previous construction site experience • Hold a qualification in fitting, plumbing, fabrication or a related discipline • Demonstrate knowledge of industry pipework components and assembly • Understand mechanical systems and their operation • Hold current Safe Pass, Manual Handling, Working at Height, and MEWP training (preferred) • Be computer literate for online inductions • Have experience in mechanical threading and grooving of pipework (desirable) • Exhibit strong communication skills, punctuality, and organization
