About the Role
The Project Surveyor will lead the preparation and analysis of boundary surveys, coordinate field and office staff, ensure quality control of reports and plans, and supervise technicians as needed. • Analyze and prepare complete boundary surveys using record data and sound analysis. • Perform quality control reviews on reports, plans, specifications, and cost estimates. • Assist staff in preparing reports, findings, plans, and contract documents. • Organize and coordinate field and office staff for design and field tasks on complex projects. • Develop project and task work plans and provide direction to achieve objectives. • Monitor work efforts of assigned staff, sub‑consultants, and contractors. • Supervise Survey Technicians as needed.

What You Bring
Candidates must have a high school diploma or GED, with an associate degree or equivalent experience preferred, and at least five years of surveying experience. A professional land surveyor (PLS) license in Illinois is required, and an Indiana license is highly desirable. Proficiency in Civil 3D, Trimble Business Center, and advanced knowledge of surveying instruments, measurement systems, trigonometry, and geometry are essential. A valid driver’s license and strong English communication skills are also required. • High School Diploma/GED required; Associate degree or technical experience preferred. • Minimum 5 years of surveying experience. • Illinois PLS license required; Indiana license highly preferred. • Advanced proficiency in Civil 3D and Trimble Business Center. • Proficient with various data techniques, coding systems, and surveying instruments. • Strong knowledge of angular/linear measurement, trigonometry, and geometry. • Valid driver’s license and clean motor vehicle record. • Ability to read, write, and understand English for job communications.

The position offers a salary range of $68,700 to $111,700 per year, DOE, and requires a pre‑employment drug screen.
