About the Role
At WM, the Operations Specialist for Collections provides advanced clerical and administrative support to departmental managers and helps coordinate all aspects of daily operations. This role serves as a key liaison within the Operations team, ensuring smooth workflow and effective communication. The specialist troubleshoots and resolves safety, service, and operational issues while maintaining and distributing department‑related information on a daily basis. Responsibilities include acting as the KRONOS proxy for driver and helper updates, managing procurement, time and attendance, safety incidents, contract labor, and assisting with payment processing. The role also supports operational projects, communicates with customers about service concerns, and informs employees about scheduling and work assignments. • Provide advanced clerical and administrative support to Operations managers and coordinate daily operations. • Troubleshoot and resolve safety, service, and operational issues; maintain and distribute department information. • Act as KRONOS proxy for daily driver and helper updates and manage time and attendance. • Use Microsoft Suite and other tools for procurement, safety incident tracking, contract labor, and payment processing. • Communicate with customers about service issues and with employees about scheduling and work assignments. • Perform office duties using standard equipment in a professional office environment.
