About the Role

Primary duties include installing, maintaining, and removing overhead and underground distribution conductors and equipment, working on energized lines with hot‑stick tools, and performing pole‑climbing and bucket‑truck operations in all weather conditions. Employees must be prepared for after‑hour emergency callouts and adhere to all safety regulations. • Install, maintain, and remove overhead and underground distribution conductors and equipment. • Perform hot‑stick work on energized high‑voltage lines and climb poles as needed. • Operate bucket trucks, digger derricks, trenchers, and other utility line‑crew tools. • Respond to after‑hour emergency callouts in all weather conditions. • Follow all company safety rules and procedures. • Maintain a valid CDL Class A and satisfy FMCSR driver qualification standards. • Participate in random DOT drug and alcohol testing and uphold safety compliance.

What You Bring

Candidates must hold a high school diploma or equivalent (a technical lineman degree is preferred) and be qualified as a Journeyman Lineman with knowledge of distribution and transmission construction, maintenance, and operation. Required skills include strong communication, teamwork, experience with utility line‑crew equipment, physical fitness for lifting and confined‑space work, and a willingness to travel; applicants must live within 20 miles of the Manitowish Waters Service Center and possess a valid CDL Class A meeting FMCSR driver standards. • Hold a high school diploma or equivalent; technical lineman degree preferred. • Currently qualified Journeyman Lineman with knowledge of distribution and transmission construction, maintenance, and operation. • Demonstrate strong communication and teamwork skills. • Possess experience with utility line‑crew groundwork and equipment. • Meet physical requirements for lifting, climbing, and confined‑space work. • Reside within 20 mi of Manitowish Waters Service Center and be willing to travel.
