About the Role
The Project Procurement Manager role at Rolls‑Royce America (Graniteville, SC) is responsible for representing procurement interests within complex, cross‑functional development projects, acting as a sub‑project lead to integrate cost, quality and schedule requirements into decisions. The manager serves as the primary procurement representative, providing guidance, risk assessments and recommendations, and ensures cost targets, supplier strategies and commercial risks are addressed at every project milestone. They lead value‑analysis workshops, drive cost‑optimization initiatives from idea generation through validation and supplier negotiation, and monitor savings, risks and progress throughout the project lifecycle. The role coordinates all procurement activities derived from project requirements, tracks work‑package status, validates supplier quotations and technical specifications, and presents progress reports and KPIs to steering committees. They manage internal procurement processes for prototype and test‑engine parts, working with engineering, logistics and suppliers to resolve bottlenecks, technical queries and delivery issues. By analyzing cost structures and procurement data, the manager identifies strategic levers for cost reduction, collaborates with engineering and quality teams to realise design‑to‑cost opportunities, and contributes to long‑term procurement strategy. • Represent procurement interests and act as sub‑project lead in cross‑functional projects. • Lead value‑analysis workshops to identify and implement cost‑reduction opportunities. • Drive cost‑optimization measures from concept through supplier negotiation and validation. • Coordinate procurement work packages, validate quotations, and report KPIs to steering committees. • Manage internal procurement for prototype and test‑engine parts, resolving bottlenecks and delivery issues. • Analyze cost structures to uncover strategic cost‑reduction levers and support long‑term procurement strategy. • Ensure alignment with cost targets, supplier strategies and commercial risk management. • Maintain compliance with U.S. work‑authorization requirements. • Apply strong analytical, communication and negotiation skills in international, cross‑functional teams. • Utilize ERP (SAP) and Microsoft Office tools to support procurement processes. • Travel domestically and internationally as needed and work flexible hours. • Contribute to a diverse, inclusive workplace and adhere to safety and environmental standards.

What You Bring
Basic requirements include a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, Business Administration, Supply Chain Management or related field, several years of procurement experience in a project‑oriented or technical environment, and U.S. work authorization without sponsorship. Preferred qualifications comprise strong knowledge of value analysis, cost engineering and sourcing strategies, analytical and solution‑oriented mindset, excellent communication, supplier negotiation experience, ERP (especially SAP) and Microsoft Office proficiency, ability to lead cross‑functional projects, willingness to travel, and familiarity with off‑highway diesel engine commodities and casting procurement; German language skills are a plus.
