About the Role

Ready to lead where strategy meets transformation, ERM is seeking a Managing Technical Consultant, Auditor – EHS Regulatory Compliance and Management Systems to shape teams, drive innovation and influence the future of an organization. In this role you will serve as a trusted advisor, guiding clients through complex regulatory landscapes and sustainability frameworks. Your expertise will reduce risk, achieve compliance and embed best practices, while influencing executive decision‑making and delivering measurable change. You will lead audits for EHS compliance, management systems and sustainability frameworks, develop strategies, processes and tools to strengthen client programs, and support ERM’s Safe and Sustainable Operations team in meeting international mining standards. Additionally you will manage national and global projects, deliver training and in‑field coaching, build long‑term client relationships and collaborate across ERM’s global network to share best practices and innovate solutions. ERM uses artificial intelligence tools to assist in screening and evaluating candidates, with human oversight, and by applying you consent to this use. • Lead and conduct EHS compliance audits individually or in teams. • Develop and implement strategies, processes and tools to improve client EHS programs. • Support Safe and Sustainable Operations team to meet international mining standards (ICMM, CopperMark, Cyanide Code, TSM). • Manage national and global projects ensuring safety, efficiency and excellence. • Deliver training, on‑site coaching and impactful presentations to client personnel. • Build and maintain strong client relationships to drive repeat business. • Collaborate with ERM’s global network to share best practices and innovate solutions.

What You Bring

The position requires a bachelor’s degree in environmental, sustainability, health & safety, engineering or a related field (or equivalent experience), and at least four years of EHS consulting or industry experience, preferably with Canadian and international exposure. Candidates must be able to assess EHS management systems in high‑hazard sectors, understand Canadian regulations, communicate effectively with senior leaders and frontline teams, manage projects independently, travel up to 40 % and hold a valid driver’s licence. A master’s degree, global EHS experience, professional certifications such as EP, CSRP or P.Eng., familiarity with data analytics and digital EHS solutions, and bilingual French/English are considered assets. • Hold a bachelor’s degree in environmental, sustainability, health & safety, engineering or related discipline (or equivalent experience). • Possess at least four years of EHS consulting or industry experience, preferably with Canadian and international exposure. • Demonstrated ability to assess EHS management systems in high‑hazard sectors such as mining, oil & gas, petrochemicals, pulp & paper, and power generation. • Strong knowledge of Canadian EHS regulatory requirements. • Excellent communication skills for engaging senior leaders and frontline teams. • Proven project management experience with ability to work independently and collaboratively. • Willingness to travel up to 40 % and maintain a valid driver’s licence. • Preferred: master’s degree, global EHS exposure, professional certifications (EP, CSRP, P.Eng.), data‑analytics familiarity, bilingual French/English.

The anticipated base salary ranges from CAD 93,309 to 111,387, with potential bonus eligibility, and the role includes a comprehensive benefits package covering paid time off, parental leave, medical, dental, vision, life and disability insurance, as well as a 401(k) or RRSP/DPSP. • Competitive salary (CAD 93‑111 k) with potential bonus and comprehensive benefits including PTO, parental leave, health, dental, vision, life, disability, and retirement plans.
