About the Role

In this role you will be responsible for the upkeep of production and facility equipment, including installing new machinery, performing preventive maintenance, and making timely repairs to keep operations running smoothly. By conducting routine inspections and recording maintenance activities, you will help prevent equipment failures and support continuous production. You will work closely with production teams to construct support equipment, align and relocate machines, and build custom parts or experimental devices according to work order specifications, while also coordinating material needs for each project. You will also assist in troubleshooting mechanical issues and implementing adjustments to resolve operating difficulties. • Maintain, install, and repair production and facility equipment. • Construct and install support equipment in production areas. • Perform and record preventive maintenance on all production machinery. • Diagnose mechanical malfunctions and implement repairs or adjustments. • Execute emergency repairs to minimize downtime. • Move, anchor, and align production machines as needed. • Build equipment parts and experimental machines per work orders. • Coordinate material requisitions for projects. • Observe safety rules and report hazards.

What You Bring

The position requires strong mechanical aptitude, welding proficiency, the ability to read technical drawings, and competence with a variety of hand tools; attention to detail, effective communication, and the capacity to lift up to 50 lb are also essential. A forklift and company vehicle driver’s license is desirable, and you must be comfortable working in a fast‑paced manufacturing environment. Candidates must have at least a high school diploma or GED and a minimum of one year of mechanical maintenance experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment, along with basic computer skills. Experience with computers and standard applications is required to log maintenance data and communicate effectively with supervisors. • High school diploma or GED required. • Minimum 1 year of mechanical maintenance experience, preferably in manufacturing. • Mechanical and welding skills (stick and wire feed) and ability to read technical drawings. • Proficiency with hand tools, drill press, torches, cut‑off saw, etc. • Strong attention to detail and effective written and verbal communication. • Ability to lift 50 lb; forklift and vehicle driver’s licenses preferred. • Basic computer skills for logging maintenance data.
