About the Role

The Operations Supervisor – Hauling Operations oversees collection activities across commercial, residential, roll‑off, and container services within a geographically dispersed division. The role supervises drivers and helpers, collaborates with the Operations Manager and General Manager, and drives functional excellence and budget achievement while ensuring compliance with safety, environmental, regulatory, accounting, and ethical standards. The supervisor leads safety initiatives, works with sales and maintenance to eliminate unsafe conditions, and maintains effective accident‑prevention programs that foster a culture of safety among employees. In the customer‑experience domain, the supervisor ensures service meets or exceeds expectations, resolves unusual requests, equipment breakdowns, and schedule changes, and acts as a positive company representative to build loyalty. Efficiency responsibilities include setting productivity goals, managing labor hours and disposal expenses, optimizing routes, reducing route hours through service conversions and container upsizing, and supporting fleet maintenance to meet budgeted goals. • Provide leadership to achieve safety goals, remove unsafe conditions, and partner with sales and maintenance on route safety. • Deliver superior customer experience by meeting pickup expectations, resolving service issues, and representing the company positively. • Establish and monitor productivity targets, manage labor and disposal costs, and optimize routes to improve efficiency. • Foster employee engagement through collaborative teamwork, talent development, and coaching for career advancement. • Direct large staff with a process‑ and results‑focused approach, strong analytical and decision‑making abilities, and collaborative leadership.
