About the Role
The Maintenance Mechanic is responsible for the day‑to‑day upkeep of building systems, including lighting, flooring, HVAC, locks, fire safety equipment, plumbing, painting, and general handyman tasks. The role prioritizes preventive, corrective and emergency work orders, updates their status in real time using the Corrigo CMMS, and escalates issues to customers and managers as needed. The employee must also maintain compliance with safety procedures, local codes, hazardous‑material policies, and document all work performed. • Maintain lighting systems, including bulbs and ballasts. • Install carpet flooring systems. • Clean HVAC coils, replace filters and belts. • Repair locks, locking mechanisms, closers, doors, and furniture. • Document and service fire extinguishers and other building safety systems. • Maintain and repair plumbing components such as toilets, urinals, sinks, drains, water heaters and sump pumps. • Prepare, prime and paint interior and exterior building surfaces; perform general handyman tasks. • Complete special tasks like locksmith work, tenant service requests, and assigned maintenance projects. • Prioritize and execute preventive, corrective and emergency work orders on a daily, weekly and monthly basis. • Update work order status in real time using the Corrigo CMMS. • Escalate problems to customers and managers promptly. • Remain on call for after‑hours emergencies and adhere to all safety and housekeeping standards. • Ensure compliance with state, county and city codes, hazardous‑material handling policies, and maintain proper documentation. • Participate in ongoing technical, safety and operational training programs.

What You Bring
Work hours are Monday through Friday, 7:00 am to 3:30 pm, on‑site in Salt Lake City, UT, with on‑call duties for after‑hours emergencies. Preferred technical experience includes building‑automation‑system (BAS) knowledge and preventative HVAC maintenance. Candidates need a high school diploma or equivalent, at least one year of hands‑on carpentry, electrical or plumbing experience, proficiency with hand and power tools, and basic computer skills such as MS Office and the Corrigo CMMS. • Experience with building‑automation‑system (BAS) platforms. • Preventive maintenance experience on HVAC equipment. • High school diploma or equivalent. • Proficient with hand and power tools. • Basic computer skills including MS Office, Outlook and Corrigo CMMS. • At least one year of related experience in carpentry, electrical or plumbing.
