About the Role

To support this vision, Autodesk seeks a Senior Manager, AECO AI Strategy who will define AI direction for the industry cloud and the broader AECO portfolio. The role identifies high‑value opportunities, shapes investment priorities, and guides responsible, applied AI to deliver measurable customer and business impact. Reporting to the Senior Director, AECO Industry Expansion Strategy, the role works cross‑functionally with product, research, and industry teams. • Define long‑term AI strategy for AECO by partnering with product, research, and industry teams. • Identify, assess, and prioritize high‑impact AI use cases across planning, design, construction, and operations. • Develop frameworks guiding AI investment, differentiation, and integration across Autodesk’s product ecosystem. • Translate technical AI capabilities into clear customer value propositions and outcome‑driven use‑case narratives. • Incorporate market signals such as competitive trends, industry shifts, and adoption barriers into strategic planning. • Produce executive‑ready strategy briefs, analyses, and recommendations to inform prioritization and resource allocation. • Drive cross‑functional alignment on AI direction, ensuring product, GTM, and industry teams execute shared priorities. • Clarify where AI creates differentiation versus scaling efficiency or meeting core customer needs. • Collaborate with product and data science teams to ensure AI strategy is technically feasible and aligned with customer workflows. • Partner with GTM, marketing, and industry teams to position AI capabilities consistently.

What You Bring

The position is based on the East Coast of the United States with remote flexibility. • Bachelor’s degree in architecture, engineering, computer science, data science, or related field (or equivalent experience). • 7+ years in AI strategy, product strategy, or innovation roles within AECO or technology sector. • Deep understanding of AECO workflows, data ecosystems, and industry challenges. • Familiarity with AI technologies such as machine learning, generative design, predictive analytics, and automation. • Experience influencing senior leadership and partnering across technical and non‑technical functions. • Plus: experience with cloud platforms, data interoperability, or applied AI in design and construction contexts. • Strategic, technically fluent leader who grasps AI transformation in AECO. • Skilled at linking AI capabilities to real‑world customer workflows, business outcomes, and value creation. • Ability to simplify complex technical concepts into actionable direction for product and business stakeholders. • Strong at navigating ambiguity and influencing product, research, and executive teams.
