About the Role

The Superintendent/SSHO reports to the Project Manager and is responsible for scheduling, coordinating, and supervising construction work, including oversight of craft subcontractors and employee activities, while managing the site‑specific safety effort and ensuring compliance with OSHA and Perini’s safety programs. Additional duties include planning subcontractor resources, coordinating work across trades and other contractors, reviewing safety documentation, maintaining liaison with engineering and estimating teams, resolving construction problems, and assisting with project execution schedules and site logistics. • Schedule, coordinate, and supervise construction activities and subcontractor/employee work. • Lead the project’s safety program, ensuring compliance with OSHA and Perini’s Site‑Specific Safety Plan. • Conduct daily safety inspections and facilitate weekly toolbox talks and client safety briefings. • Plan and manage subcontractor resources, including manpower, materials, equipment, and temporary power. • Coordinate work across trades, departments, and other contractors to maintain schedule and quality. • Review and maintain complete safety documentation and reports per established procedures. • Liaise with engineering, estimating, and planning teams to ensure work aligns with drawings and specifications. • Identify and resolve construction issues such as productivity gaps, work‑interface conflicts, and drawing discrepancies. • Monitor compliance with safety and quality control programs and implement corrective actions. • Assist in developing the Project Execution Schedule, site logistics, and project procedures. • Generate 4‑week look‑ahead schedules and review them weekly with the construction team and subcontractors.

What You Bring

With more than four decades of experience, Perini has completed notable projects such as the U.S. Coast Guard Maritime Patrol Hangar on Cape Cod, the U.S. Forces Operations Facility at Camp Victory in Iraq, and multiple security upgrades for U.S. embassies worldwide, demonstrating its ability to operate under complex and critical conditions. Candidates must have ten or more years of Superintendent experience on medium‑sized projects, at least five years managing construction safety with OSHA 30 certification, and a strong knowledge of U.S. construction methods. Experience with marine construction and Federal Government clients such as USACE or the Navy is preferred, and resumes should indicate a specific area of expertise (e.g., civil, structural, mechanical, electrical). • Require 10+ years Superintendent experience with full‑phase construction oversight. • Minimum 5 years managing construction safety and completion of OSHA 30 training. • Knowledge of U.S. construction methods; marine construction and Federal Government (USACE/Navy) experience preferred. • Resume must indicate area of expertise (civil, structural, mechanical, electrical, etc.).
