About the Role

We are looking for an Apartment Maintenance Technician to support our 125‑unit property in Houston, TX. The role involves ensuring the safety and comfort of our residents through effective upkeep of the building and its systems, offering a meaningful impact on community quality. The technician will handle routine repairs, conduct inspections, respond to resident requests, and maintain accurate work orders. Additional duties include managing inventory, preparing units for new occupants, coordinating contractors, overseeing capital improvements, and complying with safety and fair‑housing policies. • Perform routine maintenance on plumbing, electrical, appliances, HVAC, drywall, and other equipment • Inspect units and common areas for issues and safety compliance • Respond promptly to resident maintenance requests • Complete work orders quickly and document all activities • Manage inventory of maintenance supplies and equipment • Keep common areas, buildings, and grounds clean and well‑maintained • Prepare apartments for new residents, including painting, cleaning, upgrades, and repairs • Schedule contractors and approve work and invoices within cost guidelines • Oversee capital improvement projects and provide regular updates • Purchase and track materials and supplies • Follow company policies, safety protocols, and fair housing regulations

What You Bring

Candidates must have at least a high school diploma, with technical training preferred, and proven experience in residential maintenance. Required skills include knowledge of plumbing, electrical, HVAC, strong problem‑solving, communication abilities, and the capacity to work both independently and as part of a team. The position requires prolonged standing and walking, climbing ladders, bending, crawling, and stooping, as well as the ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds. • High school diploma or equivalent; technical training or certification preferred • Proven general maintenance and repair experience in residential or multifamily housing • Knowledge of plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and appliance repair • Strong troubleshooting and problem‑solving skills • Excellent communication and customer service abilities • Ability to work independently and collaboratively • Detail‑oriented with effective task prioritization • Own general maintenance tools required for routine tasks • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
