About the Role

• Lead a variety of transport planning projects and proposals, delivering both technical and commercial inputs. • Manage tasks within multi‑disciplinary teams, collaborating with other WSP specialists from concept to delivery. • Support the acquisition and delivery of work for a diverse local client portfolio. • Prepare transport statements, assessments, environmental transport chapters, construction traffic management plans and travel plans, and engage in client and authority scoping discussions. • Lead technical discussions on site accessibility for multiple modes and define mitigation measures for planning approvals. • Conduct technical review and checking of team deliverables. • Work collaboratively in client‑consultant environments while representing WSP values. • Contribute to WSP’s four pillars – People, Clients & Growth, Operations, and Technical Excellence – supporting team leads. • Develop transport‑focused strategies, plans and policies. • Work with Local Authority and Combined Authority clients. • Manage and coordinate transport assessments and strategies for major or complex projects. • Prioritise multiple projects and tasks to meet deadlines. • Deliver presentations and liaise with diverse audiences, including officials, the public and key stakeholders.
