About the Role
The role is for a Consultant in the Real Estate Consulting (REC) team, working with health and social care clients nationwide to assess the feasibility of real estate investment opportunities. The consultant will help build the case for change and guide clients toward optimal real estate decisions, leveraging experience in planning and developing healthcare estate and infrastructure projects. • Prepare business cases (SOC, OBC, FBC) and estate/property strategies. • Conduct financial analysis with solid commercial understanding. • Combine commercial, strategic, and operational perspectives to influence decisions. • Manage programmes, projects, capital projects, and contracts. • Analyse and present large data sets to support proposed solutions. • Collaborate effectively under pressure and remain calm in challenging situations.

What You Bring
The ideal candidate is highly motivated, flexible, and possesses excellent communication skills to engage with clients at all levels. Responsibilities include preparing business cases, developing estate strategies, managing change, and combining commercial, strategic, and operational perspectives while influencing key decisions. Essential qualifications include a bachelor's degree, a relevant project management certification (e.g., PRINCE2 or MSP), and proven experience authoring business cases using the HM Treasury 5‑case model. Desirable attributes are industry-specific qualifications, evidence of continuing professional development, and experience with strategic infrastructure programmes in large organisations. • Hold a relevant real‑estate qualification or equivalent experience. • Experience in both client‑side and consultancy environments. • Demonstrate strong interpersonal, emotional intelligence, and persuasion skills. • Travel flexibly as required and adapt to new sectors or environments. • Essential: Bachelor's degree, PRINCE2/MSP or equivalent, business case writing expertise. • Essential: Knowledge of HM Treasury 5‑case model and large‑dataset handling. • Desirable: Surveying, engineering, finance, or accounting qualification. • Desirable: Better Business Case accreditation and strategic infrastructure experience. • Desirable: Experience leading major capital investment business cases in health/social care.
