Assist in developing and running load forecasting models and data analysis.

About the Role
Employees must uphold safety compliance standards inherent in PSE’s operating and field procedures and promote a culture of total safety. • Assist senior staff in developing and running econometric and statistical forecasting models and analytical frameworks. • Develop and maintain input and output databases for long‑term load forecasting analyses. • Extract data from internal and external systems. • Write code to conduct exploratory analysis, cleanse and aggregate data, and automate work processes. • Create data visualizations to derive meaningful insights. • Run reports comparing forecasts to actuals and track other intelligence. • Support creation of written documents and presentations to communicate research results.

What You Bring
The ideal candidate has a background in economics or forecast modeling, strong quantitative skills, and enthusiasm for data, programming, and analysis. Excellent written and oral communication, data‑visualization experience, and interpersonal skills are also required to maintain a supportive, productive team environment. • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Economics, Engineering, Finance, Math, or related field. • Ability to perform complex mathematical analysis. • Strong written, interpersonal, and group communication skills. • Demonstrated ability to be a supportive team member. • Master’s/PhD in economics, statistics, mathematics, data science or similar field. • Experience in economic or energy‑related forecasting, data science, or energy efficiency evaluation. • Knowledge of forecasting and econometric theory and applications. • Experience with statistical analysis and econometric modeling. • Creative problem‑solving abilities. • Experience with databases and database applications for research and analytics. • Familiarity with energy forecasting tools (e.g., Itron MetrixND/LT, Forecast Manager, LoadSEER, EViews). • Proficiency in SAS, SQL, R, Python, or other data‑analytic programming tools. • Experience with data visualization/dashboard software such as Tableau or Power BI. • Experience with SAP BW, SAP HANA, PI. • Advanced Excel skills, including chart development, and proficiency with Microsoft Office suite (Outlook, PowerPoint, Word, Teams, SharePoint).
