About the Role

Based in Newcastle, the consultant will provide CDM and health‑and‑safety advisory services to both existing and new clients, tailoring the scope of work to each client’s specific needs. The role involves understanding client challenges, proposing effective solutions and ensuring consistent delivery of service excellence. • Deliver CDM and health‑and‑safety consultancy services to clients from the Newcastle office. • Analyse client needs, propose solutions and maintain high service standards. • Develop and improve CDM and H&S systems and processes for greater efficiency. • Provide expert advice, act as Principal Designer and guide clients on CDM legal responsibilities. • Establish and nurture positive client relationships, acting as a trusted advisor. • Represent Turner & Townsend professionally in meetings, negotiations and communications. • Manage commissions, aligning client expectations with the company’s business management system. • Conduct H&S performance reviews and audits on behalf of clients. • Collaborate with SHQ and colleagues to ensure team effectiveness, consistency, quality and profitability. • Prepare pre‑construction information and relevant H&S documentation. • May be required to adhere to SOX control responsibilities where applicable.

What You Bring

• Hold NEBOSH Construction Certificate and NEBOSH Diploma (or equivalent). • Possess a full UK driving licence. • Hold GradIOSH (or equivalent) and membership of the APS. • Demonstrate experience as a Principal Designer and strong communication skills. • Show extensive construction industry knowledge, especially CDM regulations. • Experience across diverse industry sectors is desirable.
