About the Role

Join a worldwide leader in vacation ownership as an Assistant Director of Engineering at The Suites at Falls Creek in Branson, MO. In this role you will advise and control engineering operations across the resort, supervising mechanical, structural, electrical, and other maintenance systems. You will collaborate with the Resort Leadership Team to develop maintenance programs, engage team members, manage budgets, and identify opportunities that support annual business goals. You will assist the Director of Engineering in overseeing electrical, mechanical, and construction programs, ensuring safe operation of utilities, and assigning routine maintenance for HVAC and related equipment. Your duties include inspecting work quality, managing special projects, coordinating permits and inspections with city officials, and acting as a liaison with vendors. You will also support contract negotiations, budget control, and step in for supervisors when needed, while pursuing ongoing education to improve guest satisfaction and reduce costs. • Assist Director with electrical, mechanical, construction, and facility maintenance programs • Assign and verify routine maintenance of mechanical, electrical, and HVAC systems • Inspect work quality and direct staff and contractors to meet performance standards • Complete special projects delegated by the Director • Coordinate permits and licenses with city officials and fire department • Manage elevator and escalator inspections and ensure safety for diplomats and guests • Liaise with vendors on hotel technology and product updates • Attend industry events to apply trends that boost guest satisfaction and reduce costs • Serve as shop foreman or supervisor in their absence • Help negotiate contracts with outside contractors • Support establishment and control of the annual engineering budget

What You Bring

The ideal candidate brings five to ten years of education and hands‑on experience with complex building systems, along with five to seven years of related work experience and at least two years of supervisory experience. A high school diploma or GED is required, and relevant licenses or permits are necessary. Flexibility for variable shifts, including weekends and holidays, is essential, and a technical diploma, apprenticeship completion, or trade license is advantageous. Managerial experience of two or more years is also preferred. • 5–10 years of education and hands‑on experience with complex building systems • High school diploma or GED • 5–7 years related experience • 2+ years supervisory experience • Flexible to work variable shifts, weekends, and holidays • Apprenticeship or advanced training for operating engineers (preferred) • Technical diploma (preferred) • Trade or skill license (a plus) • 2+ years managerial experience (preferred)
