About the Role

Drivers are responsible for pre‑ and post‑trip vehicle inspections, completing DVIR reports, and maintaining a clean, safe truck. They must follow OSHA, DOT and company policies, report unsafe situations, communicate with dispatch, and ensure containers are dumped, positioned correctly, and sites are left debris‑free. Documentation, including customer tickets and end‑of‑route paperwork, must be completed accurately. • Operate heavy‑duty CDL truck on swing routes in residential, commercial and construction areas. • Perform pre‑ and post‑trip vehicle inspections using DVIR and report issues promptly. • Follow OSHA, DOT and company safety regulations; maintain a clean, safe vehicle. • Communicate incidents, unsafe conditions, customer requests, and service issues to Route Manager or Dispatch. • Dump containers, position them correctly, and leave sites free of debris. • Complete and submit customer tickets and route documentation at end of shift. • Collaborate with Route Managers to improve route efficiency and address unsafe accounts. • Assist fellow drivers as directed and participate in required training and briefings.

Preferred qualifications are a high school diploma or GED. The role may require air travel or access to federal property, so candidates must have a REAL ID or a TSA‑approved alternative. WM drivers are professional, well‑trained, and home at night and on weekends, delivering safe and reliable service to the communities they serve. • Required: 2+ years CDL Class B driving experience or recent military driving experience, age 18+, legal work eligibility. • Preferred: High school diploma or GED. • Physical tasks include standing, walking, lifting, pushing, pulling, crouching, reaching, handling, sitting, talking, hearing. • Must have or obtain a REAL ID (or TSA‑approved alternative) for travel.
