About the Role

Parsons warns against fraudulent recruitment practices and provides resources for reporting such activity. • Act as Engineer with delegated authority, directly accountable to the Employer throughout construction. • Communicate with the Contractor and inspect operation and maintenance activities. • Issue corrective orders for non‑compliant work, materials or equipment. • Direct and monitor the O&M supervision team, including site engineers, inspectors and surveyors. • Advise the Employer on variations, adjustments and financial matters. • Review, approve and control the baseline schedule of works. • Recommend Contractor payments, claims and variation orders. • Provide contractual and construction guidance for landscape, irrigation, utility and traffic diversions. • Review drawings, method statements, material submissions and RFIs. • Maintain daily diaries and subordinate reports. • Supervise progress, prepare progress reports and compare actual work against plan. • Coordinate with other Resident Engineers, design engineers, the Contractor and client/PMC on scheduling and resources. • Liaise with authorities and submit accident or near‑miss reports. • Convene and chair regular site meetings and ensure timely correspondence and approvals. • Ensure accuracy and completeness of project records and report to the Senior Resident Engineer. • Participate in contract administration and apply value‑engineering principles.

What You Bring

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Agricultural Engineering with a UAE Ministry of Education equivalency certificate. • Minimum 18 years of experience in landscape infrastructure construction and knowledge of international standards, codes and ADM regulations. • Valid Practicing Engineer card from Abu Dhabi’s Department of Municipalities and Transport (preferred). • Proven supervision experience on large‑scale infrastructure projects, preferably in the Gulf region. • Chartered Engineer, Professional Engineer (PE) or equivalent registration preferred. • Proficiency in IT and computer applications. • Strong focus on quality assurance, specifications and statistical quality control. • Ability to review shop drawings and conduct acceptance/factory tests for compliance. • Excellent written and spoken English and thorough understanding of contractual relationships.
