About the Role
The Lead Mechanical Engineer will head a team of engineers on complex energy‑transition and petrochemical projects, overseeing the planning, budgeting, organization and control of a major segment of the engineering program. The role carries responsibility for a measurable asset, including staff and work‑hour budgets, and ensures successful delivery of the mechanical scope of work from concept development through detailed design. • Lead and mentor a team of mechanical engineers on energy‑transition and petrochemical projects. • Plan, budget, organize, and control project segments, managing staff and work‑hour allocations. • Deliver mechanical scope from concept development through front‑end engineering design to detailed design. • Ensure compliance with industry standards for static, machinery, and packaged equipment. • Communicate and coordinate with clients, project managers, suppliers, and global KBR teams.

What You Bring
Candidates must hold a degree in Mechanical Engineering (Chartered Engineer preferred) and be eligible to work in the UK without visa sponsorship. Required experience includes leading mechanical teams on energy‑transition or oil‑and‑gas projects, strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities, knowledge of static, machinery and packaged equipment, and familiarity with relevant industry standards. • Hold a Mechanical Engineering degree; Chartered Engineer status preferred; eligible to work in the UK without sponsorship. • Demonstrate strong analytical, problem‑solving, and communication skills.
