About the Role

Under general supervision, the technician applies appropriate welds to fabricate or repair compactors, containers, and carts. The role includes performing repairs, preventive maintenance, and safety checks on equipment, documenting work in the fleet maintenance system, and maintaining a clean, OSHA‑compliant work environment. • Apply arc, gas, aluminum welding, brazing, and soft soldering to fabricate and repair compactors, containers, and carts. • Perform minor repairs and preventive maintenance on electrical and hydraulic systems of compactors. • Conduct safety inspections and maintain a clean, OSHA‑compliant work area. • Document parts usage and repair times using fleet maintenance software. • Assist senior welders and respond to service calls for compactor repairs. • Execute metal and plastic work such as flame cutting, bending, forming, beveling, and notching. • Follow prints, drawings, and verbal instructions while adhering to Standard Repair Times. • Set up dimensions and tolerances using hand tools and measuring devices.

What You Bring

Applicants must have at least two years of relevant experience; additional experience with waste‑management equipment is preferred. The position offers a pay rate of $20 or more per hour, depending on experience, with a schedule of 7:00 am to 3:30 pm, Monday through Friday.
