About the Role
The incumbent will manage the installation Emergency Management (EM) program, overseeing the review and development of emergency and contingency response plans, as well as Chemical, Biological, Radiological, and Nuclear (CBRN) survival skills training and operations. The role ensures life safety, resource protection, and continuity of operational capability in all‑hazard environments, and also administers the unit Prime BEEF deployment program. The position operates onsite and requires collaboration with multiple agencies, activation of Emergency Operations Centers, and coordination of unit control centers during emergencies. The employee will also support disaster‑response exercises, maintain training programs, and conduct self‑assessments and program reviews to improve readiness. • Review, develop, and maintain emergency and contingency planning documents, including CE Contingency Response Plan and Installation Emergency Management Plan. • Activate and manage the Emergency Operations Center (EOC) during contingencies or disasters. • Establish and operate unit control centers, creating response procedures, status charts, and training personnel. • Participate in and support disaster‑response exercises, assisting with scenario development, command and control setup, and equipment preparation. • Manage EM/CBRN training programs: develop materials, schedule courses, process reports, and update training records in ACES. • Conduct DP training, secure equipment, and maintain training completion notifications. • Serve as subject‑matter expert for Wing Inspection Team EM self‑assessments, identifying deficiencies and providing corrective recommendations. • Perform EM program reviews for units, creating checklists, training schedules, and after‑action reports.
