About the Role
The role also supports handover to transition or operational teams, as well as bid close‑out activities. This is a permanent full‑time position and can be based in Victoria, New South Wales or Queensland. • Lead and build a winning team culture in the bid team • In consultation with the Senior Manager Bidding – Infra/Telco and the Sector GM(s) establish the bid resources commitment and budget necessary for the bid • Facilitate the establishment and implementation of a winning bid strategy and value for money solutions, driving the development and formation of unique and compelling value propositions • Effectively plan, programme and manage the preparation of bids, assurance and approvals that are assigned to the role in accordance with Ventia policies and procedures, ensuring bids are submitted on time • Engage and communicate that strategy to the bid team, and overview the execution of that strategy throughout the tender process • Assign and monitor tender team tasks and deadlines • Manage client interfaces and tender documentation • Coordinate the estimate, risk management, commercial review, and methodology and programme to ensure consistency and alignment with the written submission and the bid strategy • Manage the preparation of a clear and concise delivery methodology and programme as part of working documentation and inclusion in the tender document • Ensure external quotations are sourced and managed in accordance with the system, including RFQ documentation and accompanying Commercial Terms

What You Bring
Ventia has an exciting opportunity for an experienced Bid Manager to lead end‑to‑end bid activity across the Resources, Environmental, Power, Water & Gas sectors. The Bid Manager will oversee the full opportunity lifecycle—from initial kick‑off through to contract award. This includes shaping and finalising win strategies, developing solutions and pricing, engaging stakeholders and bid teams, coordinating legal and governance reviews, managing day‑to‑day proposal development, and guiding negotiations. To succeed, candidates need a proven track record of leading large proposals (>$20M) in service delivery or construction, at least three years of bidding experience in blue‑collar service environments, and preferably exposure to resources, infrastructure or telco sectors. A comprehensive understanding of capture management, tendering processes, and the connection between contracts, operations and commercial outcomes is essential. Experience in forming and leading project teams with collaborative, inclusive methods is also required.
