About the Role

This role sits at the core of ERM’s mission to help organizations navigate complex environmental challenges with integrity, innovation, and precision. As a Managing Consultant, Geologist/Hydrogeologist/Scientist or Engineer on our Contaminated Site Management team, you will lead some of our most complex remediation and investigation programs, strengthen client relationships, and shape practice growth across Texas and Louisiana. Your leadership will elevate ERM’s reputation, expand our regional presence, and build a stronger consulting community. You will lead and manage site investigation, remediation, and environmental construction projects for major industrial clients in the power, technology, and manufacturing sectors. Design innovative remedial solutions for contaminated soil and groundwater, leveraging emerging technologies and proven systems. You will also mentor junior consultants, foster a culture of technical excellence, and ensure repeat business by building strong client relationships. You will manage multiple projects within scope, budget, and schedule while delivering quality outcomes across ERM’s service lines, including brownfields redevelopment, sustainable sediments, risk assessment, and site closure. Senior‑level oversight of field investigations and remediation activities, preparation of technical proposals, and leadership of business development initiatives are key components of the role. The position requires a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in geology, engineering, environmental science, or a related discipline, or equivalent experience, with at least 4–5 years (6+ preferred) of consulting experience managing complex site investigations and remediation under CERCLA, RCRA, RECAP, and other regulatory frameworks. Proven business development skills, strong communication, strategic thinking, and negotiation abilities with regulators are essential, as is a recognized technical reputation in the local marketplace. Preferred qualifications include professional licensure (P.E. or P.G.) and an established network of industry contacts. • Hold a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in geology, engineering, environmental science, or related discipline (or 8+ years equivalent experience). • Possess 4–5 years (6+ preferred) of consulting experience managing complex site investigations/remediation under CERCLA, RCRA, RECAP. • Demonstrated business development track record securing large programs or contracts. • Strong communication, strategic thinking, and negotiation skills with regulators. • Preferred: Professional licensure (P.E. or P.G.) and advanced knowledge of local regulatory climate.
