About the Role

The specialist will coordinate content, ensure compliance, and lead the design and writing of proposal documents while leveraging market research and competitive intelligence to shape strategy. They will also support marketing activities by creating case studies, project sheets, and capability summaries, and they will mentor entry‑level team members. • Assist with large proposals and lead small‑to‑medium proposals from capture through interview stage. • Coordinate content, schedule, templates, compliance, and production of qualifications and proposals; provide conceptual leadership for document design and serve as lead writer/editor for resumes and past performance sections. • Facilitate color‑review (Pink and Red team) processes, incorporate lessons learned, and manage proposal and presentation revisions. • Participate in go/no‑go and greenlight analyses, adhering to delegation of authority guidelines and capture planning. • Conduct internal debriefs, review client feedback, and drive continuous improvement of proposals. • Apply company quality procedures and approval processes (legal, contracts, DOA, signatory). • Liaise with business line, operations, technical, and business development teams to develop marketing materials such as case studies, project sheets, and capability summaries. • Provide guidance to entry‑level proposal team members and perform self‑checks before submission. • Utilize market research, competitive intelligence, and data systems to support proposal strategy and business planning. • Ensure accurate, compliant, and compelling proposal deliverables in print, electronic, and oral formats.

What You Bring

Candidates must hold a BA/BS and have at least two years of experience supporting or leading proposal activities, with a strong grasp of proposal and presentation writing. Proficiency in InDesign, Microsoft Office, Adobe Acrobat, and collaborative tools is essential, and familiarity with the A/E industry and Salesforce is a plus. The role requires initiative, the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, and demonstrated leadership qualities. • Minimum: BA/BS and 2 years of experience supporting or leading proposal activities, or equivalent education/experience. • Strong understanding of effective proposal and presentation writing and production. • Preferred: knowledge of A/E industry, AECOM projects, competitors, and marketing best practices. • Proficiency in InDesign, Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Adobe Acrobat, and collaborative tools such as Teams and SharePoint. • Experience with Salesforce CRM is a plus. • Demonstrated initiative, ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, and follow‑through to completion. • Ability to work independently and collaboratively to produce accurate, compliant, and compelling work. • Proven leadership qualities.
