About the Role
The HazMat Field Driver/Technician Driver is responsible for the safe transportation of hazardous and non‑hazardous waste streams from multiple generator sites. The role involves operating straight trucks and tractor‑trailers to pick up bulk and containerized waste while complying with government regulations and company procedures. • Operates trucks which may include roll‑offs, tankers, gravel trains, tractor trailers, box trucks, etc. • Performs LTL (less than load) pickups. • Maintains driver documents such as logbooks, permit books, trip reports, and waste manifests. • Ensures accurate placarding, load securement, HAZMAT segregation and labeling. • Maintains company equipment. • Utilizes company technology, including mobile applications and software maintenance. • Conducts DOT/MOT pre‑trip and post‑trip vehicle inspections. • Communicates effectively with customers to ensure satisfaction. • Processes hazardous and non‑hazardous materials as needed. • Assists in maintaining good housekeeping at facilities and on grounds. • May function as a technician on lab pack and field service projects. • Participates in site safety programs and required training.

What You Bring
• Understands state weight limit laws. • Knowledge of electrical, plumbing, hydraulic and compressor systems. • Knowledge of pumps, motors, motor controls, instrumentation, metal fabrication, and other maintenance functions. • Skilled using hand and shop tools and instruments. • Demonstrates accuracy, thoroughness, and attention to detail. • Prioritizes, stays focused, and handles multiple diverse responsibilities. • Class A Commercial Driver’s license required with hazardous material and tanker endorsements (or ability to obtain within 90 days).

Compensation ranges from $27.35 to $37.62 per hour, varying by locality, and includes a $5,000 sign‑on bonus. Drivers will also perform emergency‑response field labor during clean‑ups, work on an OTR rotation to Nevada with lodging provided, and may be eligible for additional bonus plans.
