About the Role

• Review multidisciplinary structural documents for conflicts. • Write and edit structural specifications and select appropriate materials and sizes. • Perform structural calculations. • Coordinate the structural design team through design development and contract document phases. • Lead meetings and code‑compliance reviews with governing agencies. • Conduct onsite design development and contract document sessions with the Project Manager and other disciplines. • Manage workload to ensure timely completion of design and construction documents. • Handle addenda, RFIs, change proposals, and incorporate revisions into project documents.

What You Bring

• MS or MSCE in Structural Engineering (preferred). • Minimum three years of structural engineering experience. • Experience with Revit Structural. • Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering. • Professional engineering license (PE or P.Eng) for the position’s location. • Prior structural engineering experience. • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, AutoCAD, and analysis tools such as RISA, Staad, SAP, Tedds, RAM, ETABS, SAFE. • Experience working at an architectural/engineering or consulting firm. • Strong commitment to HDR’s employee‑owned culture.
