About the Role
The Plumbing Foreman leads Journeymen and apprentices on construction plumbing projects, ensuring work is completed on budget and on schedule while adhering to safety procedures and code requirements. • Supervise plumbing team members (Journeymen and apprentices) throughout all construction phases. • Coordinate with internal and external personnel to establish job schedules and priorities. • Communicate work schedules and priorities to on‑site personnel. • Order materials and supplies to support project completion. • Conduct daily inspections of assigned projects. • Complete and submit required documentation. • Ensure timely and efficient completion of plumbing projects. • Collaborate with other departments to maintain established timelines. • Set work pace and lead team members as needed. • Ensure quality installation of plumbing work. • Verify availability of plans, shop drawings, spool sheets, materials, and tools. • Resolve problems that arise during the workday. • Provide technical guidance and answer procedural questions for workers. • Inspect work in progress and final work to confirm compliance with sequences, methods, and deadlines. • Enforce safety and housekeeping rules on the job site. • Report status and progress to superintendents and project managers. • Ensure apprentices receive appropriate training for their skill level.
