Electronics Technician - 100 Percent Travel Required
Install, test, and repair avionics and fiber optic electronics for FAA sites.

About the Role
• Assist with site preparation for voice switches at Enroute Centers and Terminal TRACONs. • Install Fiber Optics Terminal System (FOTS) at various U.S. sites. • Perform electronics installations, integration, and testing for AFSS radios, VHF/UHF communication systems, power panels, conduit, cableways, and related FAA equipment. • Remove, repair, or replace components, wires, terminal blocks, and connectors; solder and splice coaxial, shielded, solid, and stranded wires. • Test and troubleshoot electrical components using schematics, wiring diagrams, blueprints, and specialized test equipment. • Troubleshoot, repair, align, and calibrate audio and voice communication equipment at the component level. • Install sensors, cabling, computers, radios, and satellite equipment in fast‑paced, all‑weather environments. • Apply electronics principles to diagnose malfunctions, evaluate prototypes, and recommend design improvements.

What You Bring
Parsons is seeking a talented Electronics Technician to replace components, wire circuits, repair simple electronic equipment, and take test readings with instruments such as digital multimeters, signal generators, semiconductor testers, curve tracers, and oscilloscopes. The role involves hands‑on work in unpredictable, fast‑paced environments and requires adherence to FAA technical standards. • High school diploma required. • Minimum 5 years experience testing, repairing, troubleshooting, and installing fiber optics, radio control systems, and complex electronics. • Ability to lift up to 50 lb., bend, stand, and climb towers up to 50 ft. • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, internet, and email. • Able to meet customer security requirements and pass a federal background check. • Willingness to travel up to 100 % within the USA. • Advanced electronics training from junior college, military service, or trade school. • Experience maintaining, troubleshooting, modifying, and installing diverse electronic equipment such as radar, radio, telecom, sonar, navigational aids, computers, industrial/medical devices, and robotics. • Security clearance not required.
