Transport and Logistic Planner

About the Role
As a Transport and Logistics Planner you will manage order handling and worldwide shipments, ensuring deliveries arrive on time with correct documentation. You will coordinate internally, with customers, freight forwarders and agents via telephone, Teams and email, while adhering to quality, safety and legal standards. The work combines routine tasks with problem‑solving and continuous improvement in a fast‑paced, cross‑functional global environment. • Act as the primary liaison between projects and logistics, coordinating with customers, freight forwarders and internal teams via email, phone and Teams. • Ensure shipments are dispatched on schedule according to the defined plan. • Work closely with Procurement to achieve time‑ and cost‑effective shipping. • Proactively plan and manage multiple project shipments in parallel. • Prepare and issue transportation documentation, packing, marking, export papers and monitor customs regulations. • Release shipments to forwarders based on packing lists and assist in selecting suitable forwarders for domestic and export transport. • Perform all tasks in compliance with quality, safety and legal requirements, handling routine work and problem‑solving. • Operate in a fast‑paced global environment, independently prioritising workload and time allocation. • Maintain clear, transparent communication across divisions, business units and functions. • Uphold Hitachi Energy core values of safety and integrity in daily actions.

What You Bring
Candidates should hold a university degree in external trade, logistics or a related field and have 8‑10 years of experience in transport or shipping coordination. Strong knowledge of booking, monitoring shipments, customs processes (especially for Saudi Arabia and other MEA countries), and logistics compliance is required. Proficiency with MS Office and SAP, fluency in English and Arabic, and experience with DG are also desired. The role requires a team‑player with excellent communication and collaboration skills, a proactive attitude, strong organizational and stress‑management abilities, and a willingness to work in a multicultural, challenging global setting.
