About the Role

The Bridge BIM Team Lead will coordinate and plan large drafting projects, select, supervise, mentor, and train CADD personnel, manage technical staff, and assume administrative responsibility for the CADD section while collaborating with other sections and bridge leaders. • Coordinate and plan large, complex drafting projects. • Select, supervise, mentor, and train CADD personnel in MO/KS. • Manage technical staff and administrative functions for the CADD section. • Prepare bridge design technical drawings using geometry and structural guidance. • Develop 2D and 3D models, design changes, general arrangement drawings, and redline/plot drafts using CAD platforms. • Collaborate with design originators to produce detailed multi‑view drawings and computer models. • Produce BDR‑level preliminary designs with minimal supervision. • Interpret sketches, models, and verbal instructions to determine necessary views and details. • Source information from software, catalogs, and technical guides. • Provide advice on unusually difficult problems and occasional minor design interpretation. • Organize assignments to meet deadlines and ensure proper drawing filing. • Manipulate reference/model files to create discipline‑specific plan drawings and sections. • Develop cross‑divisional relationships to support interoffice execution. • Perform plan checking for conformance to standards.

What You Bring

• Technical degree or equivalent education and experience. • Minimum 5 years in digital design (BIM authoring) and 5 years in digital delivery (model management). • Comprehensive understanding of discipline relations and building system operations. • Advanced proficiency with 3D design software, coordination tools, and document management. • Strong skills in Microsoft Office and communication tools. • Familiarity with industry standards, codes, specifications, and automation/programming for efficiency. • Experience with 3D design add‑ins, content creation, and management concepts. • Superior client service, communication, presentation, analytical, and problem‑solving abilities. • Strong organizational, leadership, and prioritization skills. • Energetic, enthusiastic work ethic.
