About the Role
• Collaborate on workplace interior projects from programming through documentation, managing budget and schedule reviews. • Develop design narratives, materiality, and design strategies that reflect project story and brand. • Create space planning concepts, program documents, and select furniture systems and specifications. • Coordinate with consultants, contractors, fabricators, and regulatory agencies to meet project objectives and support construction administration. • Produce technical documentation and detailing using Revit and other 3D design tools. • Manage client expectations and facilitate communication among team members and consultants. • Submit portfolio and/or work samples in PDF format.

What You Bring
We are seeking a Technical Designer with a strong passion for design to join Gensler’s collaborative team. In this role you will work alongside Design Directors and leadership on workplace projects that create memorable experiences. Your track record of problem‑solving and ability to thrive both independently and within a team will be essential to your success. To be considered, please submit a PDF portfolio or work samples that demonstrate your technical design capabilities. • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in architecture or interiors with 6+ years of workplace interior design experience. • Proficiency in creating technical drawings, specifications, and using Revit and other 3D design software. • Strong client relationship, presentation, and communication skills; self‑starter and collaborative team player. • Ability to maintain and grow client relationships through successful project delivery. • Deep expertise in Autodesk Revit for authoring, documentation, data extraction, and BIM collaboration (cloud markups, clash detection). • Experience with real‑time visualization (Escape or similar) and creating detailed FF&E specifications. • Working knowledge of VR walkthroughs, Rhino, AutoCAD, Navisworks, BIM360, Grasshopper, Dynamo, Insight, Sefaira, Ladybug, Vray, Enscape, Twinmotion, 3DS Max, Adobe Creative Suite, Microsoft Office, Unreal Engine, Unity, and C#. • Strong leadership, organizational, and relationship‑management abilities.
