About the Role

The Senior Mechatronics & Robotics Technician leads service technicians in installing and repairing automated packaging and distribution equipment, while supporting the Operations Maintenance Team with complex solution design and project management. The role also involves training and mentoring both service and contract technicians. Key responsibilities include promoting a safe working environment, maintaining and troubleshooting conveyor systems and control components, and managing work orders with detailed labor, equipment, and parts data. The technician leads preventative maintenance audits, mentors junior staff, and maintains positive relationships across the entire Operations facility. • Promote a safe work environment and follow all safety procedures. • Maintain and troubleshoot conveyor systems and related control components. • Install, maintain, and troubleshoot relay logic, ladder diagrams, motor starters, sensors, and solenoids. • Create, assign, and close work orders with labor hours, equipment, and parts data. • Lead and audit preventative maintenance procedures; mentor junior technicians. • Maintain positive working relationships across the Operations facility.

What You Bring

Basic qualifications require a high school diploma or equivalent, plus at least four years of experience with material handling equipment, preventative maintenance, and blueprint reading, three years with a CMMS, and two years with PLC programming. Experience in a team‑lead capacity, vendor management, and proficiency in Microsoft Office are also required. Preferred qualifications include an associate’s degree or higher in a mechanical or electrical field and experience with robotic operation and maintenance. Physical demands involve lifting up to 50 lb, reaching overhead, kneeling, climbing ladders, using aerial lifts, and wearing required personal protective equipment. • 4+ years experience with material handling equipment and preventative maintenance. • 4+ years reading blueprints and schematics; 3+ years CMMS; 2+ years PLC programming. • Experience leading, training, and mentoring technicians; vendor management. • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Project. • Associate’s degree or higher in mechanical/electrical field (preferred). • Experience with robotic operation and maintenance. • Ability to lift up to 50 lb, reach overhead, kneel, squat, climb ladders, and use aerial lifts. • Wear required PPE such as hard hat, face mask, shield, and safety toe shoes.
