About the Role
The role involves installing, programming, configuring, commissioning, and servicing fire alarm systems such as Simplex and Notifier at customer sites. You will execute projects on time, coordinate with project managers and trades, read complex blueprints and schematics, train customers on system operation, provide excellent customer service, complete documentation, follow OSHA and Johnson Controls safety policies, and participate in an on‑call rotation. • Install, program, configure, commission, and service fire alarm and related building systems • Execute projects within allocated installation hours and on schedule • Coordinate with project managers and trades to resolve discrepancies • Read and interpret blueprints, diagrams, submittals, specifications, and manuals • Train customers on system operation and conduct simulations • Provide excellent customer service and communicate with district staff • Complete project documentation promptly and adhere to safety policies • Participate in on‑call rotation and perform other assigned duties

What You Bring
Qualified candidates need at least three years of documented experience with low‑voltage electrical and fire/life safety systems, the ability to read and interpret blueprints and manuals, proficiency with hand tools and testing equipment, a high school diploma or equivalent, and the physical ability to lift 50‑70 lb and work in confined spaces. Additional requirements include a valid driver’s license, ability to work flexible hours, strong customer service, teamwork, safety adherence, organizational skills, and passing background and drug tests. Preferred qualifications include NICET Level II certification, local state licenses, and knowledge of local fire codes. • Minimum three years experience in low‑voltage electrical and fire/life safety systems • Ability to read blueprints, submittals, and product manuals • Proficiency with hand tools, multimeter, digital analyzer, and commissioning devices • High school diploma or equivalent; ability to obtain required licenses • Physical ability to lift 50‑70 lb and work in ladders, scaffolding, ducts, crawl spaces, etc. • Strong customer service, teamwork, organizational skills, and safety adherence • Preferred: NICET Level II certification, local state licenses, knowledge of fire codes
