Heavy Equipment Operator

About the Role

The Operator – Heavy Equipment is responsible for safely operating heavy equipment at recycling facilities, landfills, or transfer stations to transfer, spread, cover, load, and compact waste or soil efficiently. Key duties include performing pre‑ and post‑operation inspections, operating equipment such as forklifts, excavators, bulldozers and front‑end loaders, continuously monitoring waste for unacceptable materials, maintaining equipment readiness by cleaning tracks or wheels, performing minor servicing and documenting repairs, completing equipment condition reports, adhering to all safety policies, and keeping the shop clean at shift end.

What You Bring

The role requires strong customer service skills, professional and courteous interaction with customers and co‑workers, effective time management, consistent follow‑through on schedules and challenges, strict adherence to company policies and safety standards, and a prideful work ethic. Candidates must have at least two years of related heavy‑equipment operation experience and one year of experience working on sites regulated by OSHA.
