About the Role
• Lead planning, management and delivery of detailed structural designs for transport and water infrastructure projects. • Provide technical advice and discipline leadership across the structural team. • Direct design‑and‑construct project delivery methods. • Author technical reports, structural assessments, inspections, risk analyses and asset management plans. • Support construction supervision as required. • Collaborate with project teams and managers to meet schedule and budget targets. • Mentor and develop junior engineers.

What You Bring
We are looking for a driven Principal Structural Engineer to join our Christchurch, Dunedin or Queenstown offices, with the possibility of expanding into a Team Leader role. The position offers exposure to challenging infrastructure projects, professional development, and collaboration with clients throughout New Zealand and the wider Asia‑Pacific region. Some travel within the South Island may be required. The successful candidate will be a Chartered (CPEng) structural engineer with at least ten years of consulting experience, including multidisciplinary design work. Experience in water and/or transportation infrastructure—such as industrial or utility buildings, pump stations, water retention structures, or transport facilities—is essential.
