About the Role

As a member of the Protection & Control Engineering Services Team, you will create comprehensive substation drawing packages—including one‑line, three‑line, DC schematics, wiring diagrams, cable schedules, component layouts, electrical plans, and detailed assembly drawings—using AutoCAD® and MicroStation. The team also performs fault analysis, coordination studies, SCADA settings, and develops relay configurations for substations. In this role you will interpret customer specifications, design solutions that meet all requirements, and produce both wiring and protection/control schematic diagrams. You will update legacy Brownfield schematics, collaborate with designers and engineers on technical issues, lead small projects independently, and champion process improvements while traveling to customer sites about 10% of the time. • Interpret customer specifications and deliver compliant designs • Apply electrical circuit theory to develop protection and control solutions • Verify protection and control wiring diagrams against schematics • Produce control panel and field equipment wiring diagrams from schematics • Generate project‑specific protection and control schematics from customer standards • Develop protection and control diagrams using one‑line drawings • Update and revise legacy substation schematic and wiring diagrams • Collaborate with designers and engineers to resolve technical issues • Manage project activities and lead small projects independently • Identify and champion process improvement opportunities • Conduct customer site visits, traveling approximately 10% of the time

What You Bring

Candidates should have a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or Electrical Engineering Technology, with a Professional Engineer license or track preferred, and at least one year of experience in transmission and distribution protection and control. • Hold a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or EE Technology (PE license preferred) • Possess at least one year of transmission and distribution protection and control experience
