About the Role

In this senior management role you will shape HSE policy and processes for the Grid & Power Quality Solutions & Service business, ensuring compliance with legislation, corporate standards and industry best practice. You will lead a team of HSE professionals, maintain the integrated business management system, and provide specialist advice throughout the tendering and project delivery phases. The role also involves managing training and competency records, overseeing internal audits, developing performance‑improvement strategies, and producing monthly HSE KPIs for senior review. You will conduct annual performance reviews for your team and act as the primary HSE representative in client engagements and tender support, promoting the "One Hitachi" principle. • Develop and align HSE policies with legal and corporate standards • Lead and mentor a team of HSE professionals • Maintain and continuously improve the integrated business management system • Deliver specialist HSE advice throughout tendering and project execution • Oversee training and competency documentation for all staff • Coordinate internal audits to monitor performance and drive improvements • Create and implement HSE improvement campaigns linked to business targets • Generate monthly HSE KPI reports for senior management review • Conduct annual performance assessments and development planning for the HSE team • Represent the company in client meetings, tender support, and external engagements • Promote the "One Hitachi" principle across business units

What You Bring

Candidates must hold a diploma in HSE Management, be a Chartered member of IOSH, and have construction‑project experience with strong organisational and communication skills. Familiarity with ISO and OHSAS standards, competence in quality and business management systems, and solid IT skills are required; high‑voltage experience and line‑management experience are desirable.
