About the Role
The project seeks a Traffic Manager to ensure seamless operation of transport systems while complying with Australian Standards and Main Roads Codes of Practice. The role involves assessing and designing complex traffic management plans, conducting pre‑planning risk assessments, and overseeing long‑term project stages. Candidates should reside in regional NSW or Sydney and be willing to travel to the site near Mudgee. The Traffic Manager will prepare, review, and implement traffic management plans that satisfy client, community, and project requirements, and will conduct regular inspections to verify their effectiveness. They will update plans as work progresses, identify improvements for traffic flow and safety, and coordinate stakeholder meetings and consultations. Additionally, the role includes overseeing safe movement of OSOM vehicles, delivering inductions, recording incidents, and preparing monthly reports. • Prepare, review, and implement traffic management plans meeting client, community, and project needs. • Conduct regular inspections of traffic control measures to ensure effectiveness. • Amend and update plans as work progresses and address safety or flow concerns. • Identify and propose improvements to traffic flow and safety. • Facilitate stakeholder meetings on traffic management matters. • Coordinate consultation with Project Manager and Community Liaison Manager. • Support community liaison for temporary traffic impacts or road closures. • Oversee safe and efficient movement of OSOM vehicles, deliveries, and site traffic. • Deliver inductions on traffic management measures for site personnel. • Record and report all traffic incidents promptly. • Prepare and submit monthly traffic management reports. • Maintain a safety‑focused approach and hold a TfNSW Traffic Management Ticket.

What You Bring
Applicants need at least five years of proven traffic management experience, preferably on TfNSW sites, a current driver’s licence, reliable transport, and a safety‑focused mindset. Strong communication skills, teamwork, and the ability to build functional relationships with internal and external stakeholders are essential, along with a TfNSW Traffic Management Ticket and a General Safety Induction Card. • Possess 5+ years of proven traffic management experience, preferably on TfNSW projects. • Hold a current driver’s licence and reliable transport. • Hold a General Safety Induction Card. • Demonstrate strong communication, teamwork, and stakeholder relationship skills.
