About the Role

A typical day includes pre‑site preparation, equipment startup, repair, preventive maintenance, and field modifications. Representatives solve problems with customers, electricians, sales partners, technical support, and district service teams, and they complete field service reports, expense reports, preventive‑maintenance logs, and startup data sheets. On some days, representatives travel throughout the region or nationwide, assist senior technicians, support project management on larger system start‑ups, collaborate with larger teams on high‑complexity projects, and act on behalf of the District Service Manager to resolve operational issues. • Perform assembly, startup, repair, preventive maintenance, and field modifications on power distribution and critical power equipment. • Diagnose and resolve equipment issues in collaboration with customers, electricians, sales partners, and technical support. • Complete accurate field service reports, expense reports, and preventive‑maintenance data sheets. • Travel regionally and nationally, including overnight stays, to provide customer support and project assistance. • Assist senior technicians and project managers on large system start‑ups and complex projects. • Act as liaison for the District Service Manager to address operational issues. • Utilize test and diagnostic equipment, read schematics, and produce clear service documentation.

What You Bring

Candidates should have an associate’s degree, trade/vocational certification, military training, or similar electrical‑related experience, the ability to read blueprints and schematics, and a solid understanding of AC/DC power principles. At least two years of field service repair experience with UPS systems, power distribution, ATS, PDU, or related electromechanical equipment is required, along with strong safety practices, NFPA‑70E or OSHA knowledge, safe driving skills, and the ability to use test and diagnostic equipment. The role demands physical tasks such as lifting up to 40 lb, bending, stooping, and working in various environmental extremes. • Hold an associate’s degree, trade certification, or equivalent experience with at least 2 years of field service repair on UPS and related equipment. • Demonstrate strong safety practices, including NFPA‑70E/OSHA knowledge and hazard identification. • Meet physical demands such as lifting up to 40 lb, working in confined spaces, and enduring extreme weather conditions.
