About the Role

The role requires an entrepreneurial spirit to create a vision for the transit practice and facilitate growth of the regional US‑based operation. The practice engages in planning, design, and implementation of transit services and facilities nationwide, focusing on local providers to study, plan, design, engineer, manage, and implement new services, expansions, and technology enhancements. Beyond serving existing clients, the manager can pursue personal passions, leads, and new clients. Leadership responsibilities include operating with integrity and sound business principles, providing vision, business planning and strategy, establishing goals, building and maintaining positive client relationships, maintaining open communication with partners and the team, and growing and leading the Transit practice. Project Managers/Practice Builders are expected to manage projects profitably, transition work to qualified staff, grow and mentor employees, and act as positive leaders. The successful candidate will receive significant autonomy to lead, direct, and grow the business, with the potential for an impressive bonus program and advancement to ownership. • Lead and grow the regional Transit practice in Nashville, TN. • Create vision and business strategy for transit services and technology enhancements. • Build and maintain strong relationships with local DOTs, agencies, and municipalities. • Manage projects profitably while mentoring and transitioning work to qualified staff. • Drive business development, pursue new leads, and expand the client base.

What You Bring

Qualifications include 15+ years of transit experience in growing and leading a practice, a Professional Engineer (PE) license with transit infrastructure and design background, a track record of winning and delivering local projects, established relationships with local DOTs, agencies, and municipalities, and proven ability to manage transportation projects profitably. Candidates must demonstrate excellent communication, leadership, and technical skills, a strong client‑focused problem‑solving attitude, and the ability to mentor staff and manage resources positively. • Bring 15+ years of transit experience and a Professional Engineer (PE) license. • Demonstrate a proven track record of winning and delivering local transit projects. • Exhibit excellent communication, leadership, and technical skills.
