About the Role
The role leads business development and marketing activities for a specific market segment or region, providing vision for long‑term marketplace viability and success. The position reports to the General Manager or Regional Sales Manager. • Develop and implement objectives and strategies aligned with company business development goals for the assigned segment, in collaboration with the General Manager and sales team. • Research and identify qualified target areas, projects, and clients. • Establish and maintain an external marketplace presence. • Generate new sales leads through cold calling, market research, and participation in industry events. • Prepare and execute business development action plans for specific targets. • Coordinate with Operations to form project teams for proposals. • Oversee development of proposals, presentations, and brochure materials, and train project teams for effective presentations. • Meet client needs from pre‑contract through project completion, providing advice, liaison services, and planning support. • Negotiate favorable contract terms and conditions with the General Manager and legal advisors. • Ensure adherence to ethics and compliance requirements. • Manage Business Development Engineers, including performance evaluations and development planning.

What You Bring
Candidates must hold a bachelor’s degree and have at least seven years of construction industry experience, with a solid understanding of commercial construction and pre‑construction processes. The role requires initiative, leadership, independent thinking, strong problem‑solving abilities, excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills, and advanced presentation and sales capabilities. The job requires physical abilities such as climbing stairs and ladders, lifting up to 50 pounds, and navigating construction sites where exposure to noise, fumes, weather, and electrical hazards is common.
