About the Role
The Technician 1 (PVD) role supports production on all shifts with a competitive hourly rate and focuses on Lean manufacturing, Shop Floor Management, and the Masco Operating System to drive continuous improvement and teamwork. • Set up, program, start up and shut down PVD machines and related equipment. • Maintain equipment, troubleshoot, repair, and perform preventive maintenance. • Diagnose and fix pneumatic, hydraulic, electrical, mechanical, electronic, and vacuum system components. • Perform mechanical and vacuum pump repairs. • Select appropriate recipes based on part finish requirements. • Choose and stage racks for production runs. • Detect and report defective materials or equipment issues. • Load, unload, rack and unrack parts while handling them carefully to avoid damage. • Inspect parts and make quality decisions, accepting or rejecting to DS‑500 specifications. • Report technical information and complete hazard observations using Delta’s standard procedures. • Perform housekeeping in line with 5S and visual workplace standards. • Conduct ERGO stretches and work safely at all times.

What You Bring
The position requires adherence to safety standards, including confined‑space and fall‑protection certifications, and the ability to work in confined spaces, at elevations, and to perform ERGO stretches. Employees must follow 5S housekeeping, report hazards via Delta’s procedures, and maintain a safe work environment. Candidates must have prior experience as a PVD chamber operator, a high school diploma or equivalent, and meet a Color Acuity score of 40 or better. Additional preferred experience includes maintenance or technical roles in manufacturing, strong problem‑solving skills, and the ability to analyze machine data and perform basic math calculations. The role demands regular standing, walking, lifting up to 40 lb, and occasional sitting, kneeling, or climbing. Workers are occasionally exposed to moving equipment, fumes, and moderate noise, and must be able to read and interpret safety rules, specifications, and system documentation. • Work in confined spaces, at elevations, and frequently climb stairs. • Prior experience as a PVD chamber operator (required). • High school diploma or equivalent; achieve Color Acuity score of 40 or better. • Strong problem‑solving, troubleshooting, and data‑analysis skills. • Ability to perform basic math calculations and adjust work hours to meet production schedules. • Certified or willing to obtain confined‑space, fall‑protection, and other safety training. • Ability to read and interpret safety rules, specifications, work instructions, and MOS/SFM/QMS/ERP documentation. • Physical ability to stand, walk, lift up to 40 lb, and tolerate occasional exposure to fumes, moving equipment, and moderate noise.
