About the Role
The Assistant Community Manager supports the Community Manager in overseeing daily operations and financial functions of a housing community, handling rent collection, cash‑flow optimization, and assuming full responsibility for personnel, leasing, maintenance, finance, administration and risk management when the manager is absent. • Post and reconcile all resident payments, receivables, and end‑of‑month closing procedures accurately and timely. • Monitor bad debt, issue late notices, contact residents/guarantors, and prepare eviction filings. • Ensure property meets budgeted revenue, expenses, and Net Operating Income goals. • Conduct unit walk‑throughs to apply move‑out charges and process security‑deposit refunds. • Screen, hire, train, coach, and develop onsite staff while enforcing company policies and safety standards. • Lead staff performance through ongoing training, counseling, and adherence to Asset Living benchmarks. • Oversee leasing activities, including marketing implementation, lease execution, and accurate reporting. • Address resident complaints, coordinate retention programs, and facilitate showings, lease signings, and move‑ins. • Provide excellent customer service, monitor maintenance request turnaround, and ensure timely property repairs via regular inspections. • Manage property resources economically by obtaining vendor bids, overseeing supplies, and supervising business operations. • Perform physical tasks such as standing for long periods, moving items up to 25 lb, climbing ladders, and working in varied indoor/outdoor conditions, including overtime and emergencies.

What You Bring
• Hold a high school diploma (or equivalent); Bachelor’s degree preferred; or relevant housing industry experience. • Demonstrate proficiency with onsite software, basic computer skills, and knowledge of Fair Housing and OSHA regulations.
