About the Role
The role involves operating electronic devices to locate underground utilities, preparing reports and GPS data, and marking utility lines with spray paint or colored flags. You will also attend safety meetings and interact with customers in a safety-focused collaborative environment. Candidates must hold a valid driver’s license, be able to lift 30+ pounds, and be willing to travel as needed. A physical examination, driver’s abstract review, and drug/alcohol test are required, and the position may require union membership. • Operate electronic devices to locate and verify underground utilities such as gas, phone, and fiber optic cables. • Generate reports and documentation confirming marked utilities. • Prepare GPS data for located utilities and related above‑ground features. • Identify and mark utility lines using spray paint or colored flags. • Attend safety meetings regularly. • Distinguish colors of marked utilities accurately. • Provide customer‑focused service and interact comfortably with clients. • Contribute to a safety‑focused, collaborative team.

What You Bring
• Hold a valid driver’s license. • Possess 3‑5 years of utility locating experience (preferred). • Travel up to a required percentage of time. • Lift, push, or pull 30+ pounds. • Demonstrate proficiency with relevant technology. • Undergo a physical examination and pre‑employment screenings, including driver’s abstract review and drug/alcohol test.
